#TeamDS were proud to take part in the annual Emmanuel Church Preston Hot Pot fundraising event at Plungington Community Centre last weekend. This event is a great example of community inclusion. We love to participate & are always grateful to be invited back to be a part of this wonderful community

#TeamDS were joined by KH Training yesterday. Karen Hudson delivered an inclusive and accessible First Aid training session which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The feedback was that Dance Leaders felt proud of what they had achieved, learning a valuable life skill.

Yesterday, as part of #DSEnvironmentWeek, #TeamDS watched Sima Gonsai's short film ‘Cultivate’ which uses dance to raise issues about the importance of good soil health & sustainable farming practises. We then asked Sima questions about developing and making dance films. We learned a lot! 🌱

Yesterday #TeamDS were joined by inclusive Arts practitioner @ClaireBeerjeraz who worked with us to develop poems about nature, before creating dance movements to the poetry. This was the first time we have blended poetry & dance and there were some incredibly beautiful moments.

There was a real buzz in the DS Collective's Weekly Company Class in Preston yesterday. We welcomed #CapoeiraForAll to the final session of our Summer Term. It was fabulous to dance to live instruments, a great way to wind down after our showcase at the weekend! Another successful year for #TeamDS!
