Today I have to say goodbye to this clown baby, one of my best friends for the past 15 years. She's been the most difficult dog I've shared space with; she was returned to the shelter twice before I adopted her. But I love her troubled soul dearly and she'll be missed.

Today's 8.15 was a little slower. This run took place before I had to say goodbye to Elsie. It's funny, Mel and Elsie actually got me into long distance running. Now Elsie is gone and Mel has arthritis. Mel used to run 5 miles. Elsie would drag me for four miles.
