The macro photograph shows several bright orange mushrooms growing from the side of a horizontally lying tree trunk. They are shell-shaped and photographed partly from below, revealing gills that fan out from the point where the mushroom grows out of the wood to the edge. The edge of the upper side, which is slightly hairy, is also visible. Behind the mushrooms, you can see a gray sky with blurred tree branches.
Phyllotopsis nidulans is tiny and inedible, but it shines from afar in the gray winter forest. It was one of several species of mushrooms we found during our winter photo shoot in the swamp.

The macro photograph shows a number of moss shoots in green and golden green colors. The shoots are cylindrical in shape, formed by a number of pointed leaves that overlap each other, and the leaves are twisted at the ends. The Latin name of the moss, cupressiforme, refers to its similarity to cypress twigs.
I used a flash to illuminate the transparent tails of Hypnum cupressiforme moss, wet from the rain, while taking photos. There isn't much light on a rainy day. That day, I found more species of moss than I expected in a small area of the forest. It paid off […]

Its leaves are very thin and pointed, sticking up next to each other, so that the area looks like a green fur coat or lawn. Brown stems with elongated sacs at the ends protrude from the green area. Some of them have round, transparent drops of water on them. The background of the photograph on the right is a brownish-white blurred color.
