Carrot slice. About 1.25" in diameter. I try to eat at least one healthy thing a week. This was the thing for this week. Well, this was the thing I *thought* about eating, anyway. It's soooo hard to eat something after I've taken the time to photograph it. Unless it's inedible, then it's rather easy (though hardly a sure thing). Fun Fact: The first carrots were allegedly purple. Apparently the Dutch developed and promoted the orange carrot in the 18th century. And although I've been told all my life that carrots are good for our eyesight I've personally had MUCH better luck putting glass lenses in my eyeglass frames rather than carrot slices. (The green carrot tops do make pretty good sunglasses though.)

Outside water spigot handle (knob). Tan (light brown). Made of hard plastic by Woodford. About 2" in diameter. Center screw attaches it to the faucet stem. I prefer the old-style metal knobs but this is what the plumber put in when I had the spigot replaced a few years ago, so this is what I have. It's on my patio wall, facing east. Without it I would have trouble turning on the water so I can water my plants in the summer.
