Rewatched 13 Ghosts (1960). William Castle really said “what if horror, but with gimmicks and cardboard glasses”. Proper old-school spooky fun. Silly, creaky, oddly charming. They do not make them like this anymore.

William Castle was the king of the gimmick, and this was no exception. I managed to find a Ghost Viewer on Ebay and watched the movie with it. As you can see from the pics I took, it works. The ghosts appear and disappear depending on the color.
