The lack of contrast is hard enough for me on the wide shots and this leaves anyone who is #colourblind completely screwed! This shouldn't have been played by officials or World Rugby 😐 #accessibility #SixNations #FRAvENG #M6N

Do you tend not to see colour?
If we don't 'see' something, how do we acknowledge and even respect it?

Gearbox, 2K, we need to have a serious chat about colourblind support in Borderlands 4.
Firstly, Awesome! Thank you for recognizing colourblind people exist, and putting in options to help. They do help, very much.

I have quite a strong colour vision deficiency. One way it affects me is that I often miss red text on a dark or green background.
I used to have an app on my phone that would shift colours from the camera, so that I could at least see where the colour changes, if not give it a name. At some […]

The title “Colour Blind Awareness Week: Recommended free colour contrast tools for digital accessibility” is hovering above home pages for the following inclusive colour tools: Hex Productions free website accessibility audit test, GitHub Colour Palette Builder, Coolers Colour Palette Generator, WebAIM Colour Contrast Checker, and WAVE Contrast Scans.
There are great free tools, such as with our experts, @webaim.bsky.social, and @github.com to use on #ColourBlindAwarenessDay to assess the inclusivity of your website's colours.
Access our free #A11y guide to find a list of ways to enhance the #accessibility for #ColourBlind users: zurl.co/sWybe
Contrast between background and foreground colours is needed for colour blind people. Colour contrasts should be at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large. An example shows white writing on a yellow background as a poor contrast. Items like colour pickers require clear text labels to assist users when making a purchase. To assist, describe the colour. Colour coded graphs can also make data impossible to interpret for some users. Give context by labelling each section and using patterns.
The design websites for people who are #ColourBlind is often overlooked, even though 300 million people globally have a colour deficiency.
On #ColourBlindAwarenessDay, take a few minutes to check if your website and branding colours are inclusive: zurl.co/A2vSQ

Colour combinations to avoid using: It is not true that people with colour blindness only struggle to see red and green colour combinations. Also avoid colour combinations like: green and brown, blue and purple, green and blue, green and black, light green and yellow, blue and grey, green and grey. Meeting with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ensures sites are inclusive for all users. Relevant success criterion is: 1.4.1 Use of Colour, 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast, 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum
On #ColourBlindAwarenessDay, we share ways to remove barriers for people with #ColourBlindness online.
Although some #ColourBlind people can't see red and green, there are also other combinations to avoid in branding and on site elements.

Placeholder text should provide clarity and have sufficient contrast. With error messaging, do not use colour to highlight an issue. Instead, labels are required and you can incorporate visual elements like icons. An example shows what to avoid on a form, displaying an error message that is highlighting a wrong password using just the colour red. A forgotten password link underneath is not underlined so you can't tell it is a hyperlink, and a sign in button is in a low contrast
