A small (only slightly bigger than life-sized) hermit crab plush, currently out of its shell, made from rust-orange minky fabric.
The crab from previous, tucked into the open end of a large spiral shell, made from a light peach minky fabric. The shell has been loosely coiled up but not actually sewn together yet.
The same spiral shell, sans crab. The interior pocket is lined with white.
Another picture of the crab tucked into its shell-pillow home, now completed. The shell is about a foot across while the crab is roughly four inches long.

An array of slug-shaped pieces of faux fur fabric, each with googly eyes glued to the front end.
Wooly slugs! Also called wiggle worms. If you pet them just right, they'll curl and wiggle under your hand like they're alive. I used to sell these at the local farmer's/craft market.
Slugs are invertebrates, even the fuzzy ones. :D #invertfest

Interestingly though, Siphanta acuta females are not known to display parental care behaviours as other #Hemipteta can. So I’m not sure what was happening here.

A large brown moth perched on a balcony railing on one of the vertical bars, which is painted blue. The paint is beginning to peel away. The bars of the rail all have square cross sections. The moth's wings are large, brown, and have a dark false eye spot near the top corner of its upper wings. Its wings stick straight out of its back rather than being folded flat on its back. Its body is like a short, thick, and fuzzy cigar. Its six legs are also fuzzy, an it sports two plumose antennae on its head above its two round, black compound eyes
A big, chonky Callosomia moth of some type, I think it is probably a Tulip Tree Silkmoth. Those wings are quite big. And check out those big plumose antennae!

The blue-eyed darner is a common dragonfly native to the western United States. They are busy creating future generations in this photo. The blue-eyed darner is a large species with a length of 65–70 mm (2.6–2.8 in). The eyes of both males and females are bright blue. The male is dark brown to brownish black. The top of the thorax, behind the head, is marked with two blue stripes, and each side of the thorax is marked with a pair of blue diagonal stripes. The abdomen is marked with both large and small blue spots. The anal appendages of males and females are forked and the female is marked similarly to the male; however, the base color is brown and the markings are green. Wkipedia
