Hey #WriterSky! Anyone have some great suggestions for character arc and plot revisions?
I’m on the 3rd draft of my first novel and I’m checking to ensure that the arcs and plots make sense, how they can be more compelling, or if I got it right the first time.

Every time I search and edit out each crutch-word individually in order to maintain clarity (you can't just blanket remove them or risk stuff not making sense), I lose 3-400 words from this document. It's astounding.

Re-writes, like most of what happens to writers, teach the writer new things about themselves and their writing. Humans are often lazy about learning new things. Learning tends to involve some internal struggle so we resent it a bit as our egos take a hit.
