A black duck with a bizarre bill, faces right on light bluish grey coloured water. It's bill has a circular black patch surrounded by white, overtop of which there is a crimson band that fades into orange with a hint of yellow & white at the tip.

#Birds #Scoter Being 900km from the ocean, seabirds are not a common sight. In 2021 a pair of Surf Scoters showed up in May and, stayed for a couple of weeks. They fished In a backwater off of the Nechako River. Perfect candidates for #SuperSeabirdSunday.

Too very black ducks fly over an autumn orange water surface. The Black Scoter has a conspicuous orange bump on its beak.
