Better late than never
I walked into a restaurant today and I was greeted by a huge silver stallion.
This had to be added to last week's collection.
Color photo on a clear blue sky day of an expanse of flat farmland showing a small log cabin farmhouse with a row of three large silver silos behind it. Farm equipment to the left and electrical poles and wire to the right.

Toy car mired in slice of pumpkin pie. The car's toy seat belt hangs out of the missing door, suggesting abandonment.
A silver fork shines beside a still life inspired by a misspelled request for album cover art: A photo of a car abandoned in the dessert. I was happy to comply.

Solid and hollow glass balls shot with a black and white filter on an iPhone. Stark light and shadow create solid edges, while the balls themselves have interesting silvery designs. Photo by Robert Emond.

“Karma” by sculptor Do Ho Suh resides in New Orleans City Park’s sculpture garden and is of a male figure sculpted from shiny faceted metal. Upon the figure’s shoulders sits another slightly smaller figure. Upon that one’s shoulders, another. And so on, ever smaller and ever higher until it ends as a sharp point high above.

A silver tea set sits on a radiator cover in a 1920’s townhouse in the Bronx. The photo is at a slight Dutch angle. Photo by Robert Emond.
For #AlphabetChallenge #WeekSforSilver. This is what living in #NYC was like for a person born & bred in California. Lovely, but slightly tilted.

Black and white photograph of the shoulders and head of a woman midway through hair colouring. Stacks of Silver foil are folded over hair sections while other stands are left loose. Her head is tilted downward allowing the foil to obscure the upper half of her face like a wide brimmed hat. Bright daylight shines through white window frames in the background. She's wearing a typical black hair dressers gown.
Can we count Carmen Sandiego hiding her face with a hat as an iconic pose?
Testing out highlight foil as an avant garde headpiece. 😂

A set of maybe 10 silver arches in a downtown plaza. The arches are in planter boxes

For months I have admired the arches from a distance. Then yesterday when I was taking this picture I thought that maybe the arches are to support plants?!

A close-up view of a person’s (mine) feet in a bubble bath, positioned in front of vintage-style bathtub taps with a handheld showerhead. The taps have two labelled knobs—one marked “HOT” and the other “COLD”—and shiny chrome finishes. The person’s toenails are painted light pink.

Traditional afternoon tea. White china, stainless steel “silverware,” teapot, sugar bowl and creamer, steel 3-tiered stand holding sandwiches, scone, jam, clotted cream, and an assortment of cakes. All sit on a marbleized brown table.
When I travel, I try hard not to lean into being a tourist, but in the UK, I indulge in every Afternoon Tea I can. I love everything about them. This one from Betty’s in York was delicious, and fits nicely for Mother’s Day in the waning hours of #WeekSforSilver #AlphabetChallenge
A metal silver 'treasure' chest (coffee table size, and used as one) with three panels on the sides with hinges and a lock. A brown leather handle can be seen on one end and there are studs in straight lines down the sides at the end as well across the top and bottom. There are also five rows of three decorative studs in each of the panels. The maple hardwood floor colour is reflecting within the silver. There is a book sitting on top of the chest.
A close up of the lock of a silver 'treasure' chest. The silver is reflecting the colours of the maple hardwood floor as well other surrounding objects in white and blue and copper, and so various tones have an artsy artsy feel. lol.
An end view of a silver 'treasure' chest serving as a coffee table in its setting. The silver is reflecting the colours of the maple hardwood floor. There is a brown armchair at the end of it in front of a brown drape. The chair has a rounded back and rounded armrests and a pinkish red cushion in it, while to the right is a hint of a cool green chaise lounge at the end of which is a huge Fiddle Leaf Fig plant in front of a window that has a green plant pot on it.

Rowers training in a low, flat, two-person boat racing boat (I don’t know what it’s called) row towards the bridge in the Thames River. Visible is a stone block and yellow brick pillar, and half of two steel arches, curving out from the pillar. Beyond the bridge is a row of white and red brick townhouses.

Slipping one more in for this theme. Arguably, he's more pewter than silver, but look where the light outlines him.
