"Your Honour, if I may begin, my client has asked that his plea be changed to guilty". The courtroom buzzed with hushed whispers at the new development. The few dozen onlookers had thought that Jones would have fought the drug charges; no one could have seen this coming. "Your honour, the accused understands the damage he had done and wishes to conclude this case without further taxpayer expense", the young defense lawyer sat down and waited for the judges decision. Jones turned slowly to glance at his two closest friends who sat nearly emotionless behind him.
