Type: Standard Battleships
Nation: United States - US Navy
Location: unknown
Date: Inter-war period, likely early 1930s
An inter-war photograph of six US Navy dreadnoughts. The first of twelve Standard type ships were laid down in 1911, and the last completed by 1923. US battleships were not designed for speed but instead range. Their long range allowed for them to deploy together over the vast distance of the Pacific Ocean.
