a bright yellow bee Is perched atop a cluster of tiny white yarrow flowers. It has no fluffy hairs and black markings on its body making it resemble a wasp more than a typical bee. Its mouthparts are extended down into the blossom, drinking nectar.
No fuzzy hairs as they don’t collect pollen, & instead sneak their eggs into other bees’ nests
They also typically have longer stings & body armour to protect them from host bees defending their brood
