Sony a6400, Sony 70-350mm lens, 1/60s, 350mm I wasn't sure taking photos through glass would work, but it was very cold outside, and I got to sit on a comfortable couch in a warm room to take bird pics. Win/win, if you ask me. The coloring on this bird is subtle but gorgeous. A first sighting for me!

This bird, the rusty blackbird, is becoming rarer by the year. I'd never heard of them before visiting the Nature Realm. Shot through clean glass in the bird viewing room. The yellow eye aids in IDing the bird.

Das Bild zeigt zwei Wasservögel (Haubentaucher) auf einer Wasserfläche. Der Vogel auf der linken Seite hat ein schwarz-weiß gestreiftes Küken auf dem Rücken. Der Vogel auf der rechten Seite hält einen kleinen Fisch im Schnabel. Beide Vögel haben ein auffälliges Federkleid mit braunen, schwarzen und weißen Farbtönen sowie einer dunklen Haube auf dem Kopf.
