There’s ghosts on my lips, timid spectres, hid under veils of forbid memories. They sway when the shadows step out to dance, under moonlit skies and rustling leaves. Coaxed forth under a curious gaze, with soft smiles and softer hands they may flicker into being, for but a moment, seemingly tangible, before a word blowing into my ears like an autumn leave into a still pool, spooks them, and, terrified, they dissipate back into their position, between my mouth, and my heart.

HOME MOVIE WITH NO PLOT Another night of vivid perditions making their home between my ribs. Am I scared of the ghosts that stalk me or am I terrified of the absurdity they shriek in the silence? I've been mugging myself of the present moment and giving it all to pestilence. He barely glances at my gift, an apathetic haze flushing his demeanor. So what have I changed and what good has been accomplished by the endless fast forward of this home movie with no plot? I've pulled a million triggers with an osmium finger; it's getting calloused and tired yet I'm still here, trembling while trying my hardest to achieve nirvana.
Another lengthy one (poem is in alt text.) This one is about my struggles with anxiety, which I've been dealing with since the mid 90s.

Terrified but Holding The wave of butterflies That pound my stomach With anxiety powdered wings Have fluttered off for the moment I put my breath in the box And counted to whatever number I got to, and wondered what noise A giraffe makes, put my index finger against my thumb and focused on their touching. And I am told it helped. The butterflies flew off And the pills made them less colorful But nothing makes them leave all the way So I write in my book about what the worst thing would be, and is it so bad anyway, to gaslight myself about directionless worry By following directions, and directing thoughts to other directions.
