From the left, the terraces form wavy lines that connect the top left corner of the photo to the large circular fountain itself which dominates the upper right of the photo. From the bottom left to the top right corner's edge is an arching semi-circular staircase with a metal guard-rail running down the middle. All the lines in the photo contribute to a sense of swirling concentric circles that lead the eye to the bottom of the fountain.
Hard to believe this photo will be 32 years old this year. The arching concentric circular lines of this fountain in downtown Vancouver fascinated me. It was a challenge...
