A view of the South Gate Bridge facing west. Photo was taken from nearby Nano Nagle Bridge, so the viewer is over the water (south channel of the River Lee). The day is overcast. Bare-branched trees can be seen in the distance, as can the spires of St. Fin Barre's Cathedral (left side of the screen). Apparently it's a "triple span limestone arch bridge" built in 1713. Tge bridge, the walls lining the channel, and the cathedral are dark grey. Some of the buildings nearby have their walls painted buff, pastel pink, or red.

A photo of a peculiar looking upright stone that has a rough surface that is a very light tan, with lots of weathering and some pockmarks. One indent looks as though someone punched it, but it is a natural feature. The vantage point for this photo is below the standing stone. The light is a little ambient as the sky is overcast with fairly even cloud cover. The sky with the clouds frames the stone for about 3/4 of the top of the image. Near the base of the stone is a large fissure that runs down it's base to the ground at the right of it's base. The fissure gives it a look as if it is a pedestal. The rock is a bit pointy at it's top, and has a small shrub growing off the left side. More of the same kind of exposure can be seen in the lower right corner. The rest of the ground around the base of the stone is covered by greenery with varieties of short wild desert bunch grasses and small short shrubs.

It is part of a 50 mile running exposure of an ancient coral reef when this part of #Oregon was a shallow sea! During the time of the dinosaurs!
