A warm, morning glow over the snow-capped, chiselled peaks of Adelaide Island. A bit of dark cloud to the left adds a little drama. The seas is quite calm here of the southern tip of Adelaide Island, Antarctica. At 67° South, we are below the Antarctic Circle, where very few expedition-style ships venture, this boat only makes 2 or three runs here per season. A few more degrees south and big ice becomes a real problem …not going!
