A large brown Common Buzzard stands alert in a field of fresh green grass. Its plumage is a mix of warm browns and soft creams, with layered, scalloped feathers across its back and wings. The bird faces right, showing a sharp, hooked beak and a bright amber eye. Sunlight catches the subtle patterning on its chest and shoulders, giving the feathers a textured, glossy look. Its powerful legs and talons are partly obscured by the grass, adding to the sense of natural camouflage.

Over the past few days, I've seen a buzzard fly low a few times. A few years ago, one landed on the lawn next to our house. Not great photos, but I don't have any better ones. Een bruine buizerd met een paar opvallende witte plekken in zijn verenkleed, is neergestreken op het grasveld naast de flat. A brown buzzard with some striking white spots in its plumage has landed on the lawn next to the apartment building.
De buizerd is opgevlogen en zit nu in een boom aan de overkant van de straat. The buzzard has landed in a tree across the street.
De laatste dagen zag ik een paar keer een buizerd laag overvliegen. Een paar jaar terug landde er een op het grasveld naast on huis. Geen geweldige foto's, maar betere heb ik niet.
